To connect, you only need to type pwnt.dk in the server field.
There are no password - and no port is needed.
If you really can't connect, try connecting to ts3.pwnt.dk:9987 - but you should ONLY do this in case the above one doesn't work.
If that one works, I can suggest you to change DNS server ASAP, your ISP is filtering the DNS requests. At PwNt.dK we can suggest Google Public DNS
What IP is attached to this server?
178.77.73.186 is the sweet IPv4 address, use this IP if you are having problems connecting from iOS/Android.
A DNS for that ip is ts3.pwnt.dk, this is for use in mobile clients - or people with corrupt DNS providers.
If your ISP DNS understands SRV records, you can just connect with pwnt.dk, if not, you should think about getting a new DNS provider (like google public dns etc) for your computer.
MY FRIEND CANT CONNECT - WHAT TO DO?
Give him/her the IP from above AND/or tell him/her to change DNS server, because his/her ISP is blocking for SRV records.(=the ISP DNS is corrupt)
Why is there no IPv6 on this server?
We love IPv6, and the server actually has IPv6, but is not added for the TeamSpeak server yet, because most home IPv6 connections today are over a tunnel. So it will give more latency (like at least +40ms).
To prevent people whining about lag, we use IPv4 only on the TS3. When more end users are using native IPv6, we will enable it.
What ports does this server use?
UDP 9987 for voice
TCP 10011 for ServerQueries, but that's for monitoring.. (you will never connect to this port while using TS3, unless you're the server admin)
TCP 30033 for file transfers (like avatar etc)
While connecting, your TS3 client uses UDP 53 for a few milliseconds to your DNS server.
Why are the server in Germany?
Since most people that are using this server, are using it for gaming. Low ping/latency is required.
-People from USA have 80-130ms in ping on this server
-Poeple from Scandinavian have 12-50ms
-People from Netherlands have 8-20ms
-People from Germany have 11-90ms
(the above ping times are from actual users that have connected to this server.)
I've heard there is a file transfer on Teamspeak 3, where is it? And how do I use it?
To use it, right click on the channel where you want to use File Transfer, and select "Open File Browser".
To add, move, delete files, you need to be in a permanent Channel Group (= not Guest).
Just drag&drop files into where you want it. (like from your desktop to the File Browser window) You can right click to Create Folder.
You can download ALL the files as Guest, if you has access to the channel.
To make a link in the chat, or channel description to your file. Right click on it in File Manager and select Copy URL. It will give you a long line. But when you paste it, it generates a direct link.
